Karen Daniels is the President and COO of Charter School Business Management Inc. and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations and implementing the strategic vision of the company. Karen started her career as part of the founding team of an Achievement First middle school in Brooklyn, New York. She has been in the charter sector 18+ years supporting charter school leaders and boards in all phases of development of their schools. Karen was also a main contributor to the development of CSBM’s 1st book fiscally seCURE.

Marshall Emerson III is a successful school leader with over 25 years of experience. He currently works as Managing Director of AIC Education Partners. In this role, he oversees The Brilliance School, a turn-around, charter school. Mr. Emerson co-founded the I CAN SCHOOLS network which supported eleven high performing schools serving approximately 3,000 students, and over 400 school and management employees. Marshall is a Building Excellent Schools fellowship alum. He is a graduate of Xavier University and earned his master’s degree in education from the University of Scranton.

Ashley serves charter schools as Director of Enrollment Marketing at Grow Schools. Originally from Los Angeles, Ashley attended San Diego State University, studying English, Film & Media. Ashley has years of experience in education and the digital marketing industry, having gained classroom experience before managing content and social media teams, developing websites, and consulting for startups and large brands. Ashley now leads a passionate and dedicated team in the Enrollment Marketing department, where she gets to see how transformative it can be when families choose the school that best meets their child's needs. Ashley is devoted to helping schools share their stories and meet their goals through effective enrollment marketing.

Dr. Paul Miller
CEO
Charter Champions of Rochester

Dr. Miller holds an Ed.D in Executive Leadership and has 24+ years in the Urban Public Education system; specializing in school redesign and reform, creating effective change for schools through collaborative missions, visions, teamwork and deep dives into DEI. Dr. Miller was successful at Green Tech Charter School for 11 school years with stellar results, more than doubling the graduation rates recognized by the State of New York for Black males, upwards of 95%. Currently he is the CEO of Charter Champions, an organization designed to improve the educator pipeline, which focuses on educators of color. His first book is called Cyberbullying: Breaking the Cycle of Conflict the second one is We Need to Do Better: Changing the Mindset of Children through Family, Community, and Education. Most recently he released We Need to Do Better 2.0: Teachers Guide. The three books aim at taking an action-based approach to breaking negative cycles within the urban community, in order to improve the quality of life for children. His most recent upcoming book is called from the Gutter to Greatness: 21 Day Challenge to becoming an Unstoppable Black Man. Recently, Dr. Millers efforts were recognized by the President of the United States and the CBC African and Caribbean International Leadership Conference receiving a "Presidents Life Time Achievement Award".
