From Defense to Offense: Turning Political Pressure into Strategic Advantage

From Defense to Offense: Turning Political Pressure into Strategic Advantage

,
Meeting Room 207

Charter school leaders are contending with a growing mix of complex challenges. As a result, leaders often find themselves reacting to crises — including shifting enrollment patterns, financial pressures, political opposition, and facilities hurdles — rather than proactively shaping their school’s long-term trajectory. This session will highlight how experienced charter leaders nationwide are shifting from a defensive posture to implementing strategies for sustainability and growth. Through real-world examples, presenters will share how schools are navigating various authorization and renewal challenges while strengthening community support through strategic partnerships, innovative program offerings, and collaborative solutions.
