Kim Perron is President of SchoolWorks. Kim is responsible for setting and overseeing the organization’s strategic direction and initiatives. She has worked with numerous state departments of education, city school districts, charter school authorizers, and school management organizations throughout the country to assist them in setting and implementing school and district accountability frameworks. She has also worked closely with charter school authorizers to define standards and criteria for granting new charter schools and evaluating the renewal of existing charter schools and charter school management organizations. She leads school quality reviews across the country. Prior to SchoolWorks, Kim served as Associate Vice President for the State University of New York Charter Schools Institute. Additional former roles include the Coordinator of New Schools Development for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Lead Teacher for one of the first charter schools in Massachusetts. She holds a M.Ed from Harvard University, as well as both M.A. and B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from Simmons University.
