Stephanie Callahan, a native of Scotia, NY, graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. Her journey in education began with Teach For America, where she taught third grade in Lynwood, CA, and coached the Wilson Wildcats track team to the state finals. While there, she pursued a Master of Arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Stephanie's commitment to each student's potential and right to an exceptional education has been the driving force behind her work in charter schools in Massachusetts for the past 20 years. Stephanie returned to MA in 2007, as founding middle school teacher at KIPP Academy Lynn. After supporting the school in its startup, Ms. Callahan joined Salem Academy in 2007 as the Dean of Students. She served as the Lower School Principal for nine years and has been the Executive Director since 2020. When she is not at SACS, she can be found running, paddleboarding and skiing with her family - or on the sidelines of her children's sporting events.
