Securing Our Schools: How to Effectively Implement Cybersecurity Solutions Within Your Organization

Securing Our Schools: How to Effectively Implement Cybersecurity Solutions Within Your Organization

,
BCEC, Meeting Room 204B

This eye-opening session will be an engaging and inspiring discussion focused on the latest developments in cybersecurity for K-12. The damaging effects of cybersecurity attacks are no joke. Schools in particular are vulnerable, as incidents—whether deliberate or accidental—can severely disrupt education and critical operations, as well as expose sensitive student, teacher, and staff data, all of which can lead to high recovery costs. Schools can and should take necessary actions to prevent any type of cyber threat or attack. Cybersecurity experts from Charter Technology Solutions and PKF O’Connor Davies will discuss current and future regulations that will impact schools, provide a roadmap for schools so they can take the necessary steps to protect students, teachers, and staff, and share how to be prepared for external audits, as these become more frequent (and necessary).
