Unlocking Financial Opportunities for Clean and Efficient School Facilities
Unlocking Financial Opportunities for Clean and Efficient School Facilities
,
BCEC, Meeting Room 205B
A common (and increasing) challenge we have heard from charter folk across the country is the obstacle of facilities—whether it be in planning, financing, building or operating. Given the mission of Charter Schools Development Corporation (CSDC) is to eliminate barriers to educational access, choice, and equity for under-resourced communities nationwide, we want to educate the audience on the possibilities! This session aims to educate charter schools on various types of financing options available for real estate facilities, explore new streams of funding through federal grants, and empower attendees to advocate for types of funds based on key, state leading practices. Key topics include Renew America Schools and the Clean School Bus Program. Each attendee will leave with clear next steps relevant to their school! This conversation is relevant for board members, school leaders, and operators.
