In this featured session, Dr. Marc Brackett, director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and author of Permission to Feel, will share research-based strategies to support your own and your students’ well-being, healthy decision making, relationships, and academic performance in virtual learning environments. A particular focus will be on developing a deeper understanding of the links between social and emotional learning and cultural competency. Participants will leave with practical tips to recognize and reduce unconscious biases and enhance their emotion skills.

Marc Brackett is the founder and director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and a professor in the Child Study Center of Yale University. His mission is to educate the world about the value of emotions and the skills associated with using them wisely.
